We are a family of 5 currently living in the Pacific Northwest. We have three daughters (our first daughter was my "surprise" at 19, Mike adopted her in 2009) and family spread out all around the world (my parents are in Egypt, his in California). I blog to keep my family up to date on our happenings and to document our kids lives... I'm hoping that one day they will appreciate this online journal of their childhood :)

I am also a photographer in Seattle-Tacoma, Washington. You can find me over at kipperphotography.com. Thanks for stopping by!

Race photos (updated: removed)

watermarked photos, because umm I'm a photographer and it's majorly frowned upon not to buy any pics. Ack. Someone punch me in the face real quick :/ But, come on guys!! I am not spending $50 on some gross sweaty pics of myself. I have a front wedgie in some of these (what do you call those? a melvin? ), not a cute look, lol.

And my sister, well she'll kill me for posting these, better yet she can punch me in the face twice; once for posting these and once for nabbing them off the photogs website. (2nd row, 2nd pic down on the right is the best, hehe I'm mean!)

(Note to self: wear makeup during runs, wear baggier clothing and try to find some running shoes that are not stained green from mowing the lawn. Speaking of, I've mowed the lawn every single time this year!!... well maybe not every time...but, it's become one of my favorite pastimes...hate gardening... mostly just hate worms. Love the arm workout I get while mowing. )

Before I share the pics, let me say that I actually might buy the crossing the finish line pic. It looks pretty awesome, but I need to think about it for another week or so. Big decision ;)

and thank you for all the comments on my race post. I have replied back to everyone. I appreciate your words of encouragement so much!!

  2. Lol Have you ever heard of "ridiculously photogenic guy"? I'm serious...google it. It's a guy that was running a marathon and everyone in the picture looks just EXHAUSTED and he's like this little super model. Your individual pictures remind me of that, so we'll just call you "ridiculously photogenic girl"! Way to go, that's amazing that you did this with a SIX month old!! You're awesome...and ridiculously photogenic ;)

  5. The other day when we were at Discovery Village you told me you use my craft posts to get inspired with your kids, well, I have to tell you, you inspired me to run. I love reading your posts about running and seeing you get in shape motivated me to do the same. I know I'm far from where I need to be, but I feel like I am at least trying and I'm on the right path. <3

  9. Your awesome! I have 3 littles myself and I have no energy to run a marathon at this point. I'm lucky if we get our evening walks in daily. You are my hero! Keep it up. Also I told my husband about your guys date night once a month and we are starting this too! He said you are very smart :) He's been trying to get me to do this for about a year and he said it took another mom to get it through your head. Haha guess so lol!

  10. I don't think you look bad at ALL! You're all cute and smiling... I would probably look much angrier :) I like the thumbs up one and the finish line ones best.
