We are a family of 5 currently living in the Pacific Northwest, but previously from Texas and California. We have three daughters (but no my husband doesn't own a shotgun) and family spread out all around the world (my parents are in Egypt, his in California). I blog to keep my family up to date on our happenings and to document our kids lives... I'm hoping that one day they will appreciate this online journal of their childhood :)

I am also a photographer in Seattle-Tacoma, Washington. You can find me over at kipperphotography.com. Thanks for stopping by!

wherefore art though sun?

I am craving the sun.  I am so glad that January is behind us. That gets me one step closer to the spring/summer!

I know it's about the be beach weather in Southern California, because last year we laid on the beach during the super bowl . I am jealous of my former self! LOL. Also, jealous of the Californians reading this while I am bundled up with the heat turned on full blast! Screw you little sis!! ;)

Summer can't come fast enough for me. In the meantime, I am enjoying the bits of sun and blue skies we get here in Washington. Looking forward to the days where it gets above 50 degrees and I can take off my jacket!

We have another swing hanging up for Portia. I think it will be so fun to have both of the girls playing on the swings this summer!

And some reminders that spring is just around the corner!

I love this moss on our tree. The color has not been changed. It is a beautiful bright green!

These look like little mushrooms to me. They are tiny and grow all along the bricks on our driveway.

One more pic for good measure. I've been meaning to post this one for awhile now. Me in a bubble.

*** Someone asked in the last post what kind of camera I used. I use a Sony Alpha 350 + several good lenses. I highly recommend ditching the lens that comes with the camera. First lens I'd buy is the 50mm F1.8 (1.7 if you are getting an old Maxxum lens or 1.4 if you can afford it). For these pics I used a semi-macro lens. One end is a 1:2 macro, which is why I was able to fill the frame with tiny things (like the mushrooms) in the above photos. Oh and any DSLR should get the job done. Canon's, Nikons, Olympus, Sony, etc. All great options. I have used all at one point in time. Good luck!

  3. Its ALMOST here! Summer that is. Right now is the darkest, gloomiest, saddest time in Seattle. But spring & summer makes it all worth it! Once April/May hits, you'll be so glad you endured the winter. Stay strong, sun is just on the horizon!

  10. Wettervorhersage is a set of all the phenomena occurring in a given atmosphere at a given time. Most weather phenomena occur in the troposphere, just below the stratosphere. Weather refers, generally, to day-to-day temperature and precipitation activity, whereas climate is the term for the average atmospheric conditions over longer periods of time. When used without qualification, "weather" is understood to be the weather of Earth.

  11. Hi.

A banks is a financial institution that accepts deposits and channels those deposits into lending activities. Banks primarily provide financial services to customers while enriching investors. Government restrictions on financial activities by bank vary over time and location. Banks are important players in financial markets and offer services such as investment funds and loans. In some countries such as Germany, bank have historically owned major stakes in industrial corporations while in other countries such as the United States banks are prohibited from owning non-financial companies. In Japan, banks are usually the nexus of a cross-share holding entity known as the keiretsu. In France, bancassurance is prevalent, as most banks offer insurance services (and now real estate services) to their clients.

The level of government regulation of the banking industry varies widely, with countries such as Iceland, having relatively light regulation of the banking sector, and countries such as China having a wide variety of regulations but no systematic process that can be followed typical of a communist system.CLICK HERE
